Box Score 2 It was a big night for the Lancaster Bible College women's volleyball program on Tuesday, both for this year's team and the history books as the Chargers swept a tri-match to snap a three-match losing streak and Head Coach
Lauren Bewley won her 150th match at the helm of the program.
Bewley topped 150 after the Chargers swept Mount Aloysius, 3-0 in the opener and then took her first step toward 200 in the nightcap as Lancaster Bible blanked host Valley Forge, 3-0 as well. Lancaster Bible is now 3-7 this season as the team heads into its first North Eastern Athletic Conference matches of the season this weekend in Keuka Park, N.Y.

How it Happened:Â All three of the sets were close, but all three played out the same way as the Chargers were able to pull away from the Mounties at the end of each set. In the third and final set with the score tied at 13-13, the Chargers won nine of the next 11 points to pull away and clinch the match.
By the Numbers:Â Lancaster Bible led in kills, 39-34 as junior
Alyssa Bowen had a match-high 13 kills for the Chargers...
Myranda Kemrer had a team-high 14 digs, while
Hannah Gipe added 13 digs...
Allison Shuey paced the Chargers with 31 assists and
Erin Harkey had a match-high five aces.
The Coach Says: "We had to play through some rough spots, but stayed mentally strong and were able to physically push through the heat in the gym," Bewley said.Â
Information Hodge Podge: The Chargers improved to 2-9 all-time against Mount Aloysius...The victory was the first for Lancaster Bible since Sept. 7 against Wilkes.

How it Happened: Trailing 13-8 midway through the first set, the Chargers used back-to-back big scoring runs to regain the lead and then hold off a late charge from the Patriots in the first set to win 25-20. Lancaster Bible used the momentum to crush Valley Forge, 25-6 in the middle frame and then cruised through the third set as well in a 25-13 set that decided the match.
By the Numbers: Lancaster Bible had 26 kills, while Valley Forge had 16...The Chargers also led in aces, 13-4 and had 47 digs...Senior
Emily Olson led the team with seven kills as she recorded all seven without committing an error on 15 attempts...
Jenny Lenko had six kills, while junior
Myranda Kemrer added 12 digs...
Allison Shuey and
Mandy Metzler each had nine assists...
Tiffany Weiler chipped in with a team-high four aces.
Information Hodge Podge: Lancaster Bible is now 50-14 all-time against Valley Forge...The 50 wins against the Patriots are the most Lancaster Bible has against any opponent...Bewley now has 151 wins and the next most is 86 which belongs to Vickie Byler who went 86-81 from 1994-2001.
