The Lancaster Bible College women's volleyball team opened North Eastern Athletic Conference play this weekend in Keuka Park, N.Y. and the weekend was a successful one as the Chargers went 2-1 and played some of their best volleyball of the season. Lancaster Bible defeated Wells, 3-1 on Friday night and then split its Saturday contests as the Chargers blanked Cazenovia, 3-0 and lost to Keuka, 3-1.

How it Happened: After the teams split the first two sets, the Chargers pounced on the Express in the third set as they cruised to a 25-16 victory. Lancaster Bible hammered 10 kills in the set and committed just one error on 33 attempts for a .273 hitting percentage. The fourth set was the best of the match as the teams went back-and-forth with the Chargers ultimately winning, 27-25. The Chargers crushed 15 more kills in the fourth set and finished with 42 for the match.
By the Numbers: The Chargers had four more kills than Wells (42-38) had a .204 hitting percentage for the match...Lancaster Bible also led in digs, 98-73, blocks, 8-6 and aces, 7-5...Junior

How it Happened: Lancaster Bible was in control the entire match as the Chargers swept Cazenovia in straight sets. The Chargers had double-digit kills in each set, including 15 in the second set and Lancaster Bible won its fourth consecutive match.
By the Numbers: Lancaster Bible had 39 kills, while Cazenovia managed just 11...

Myranda Kemrer each had eight kills to pace the Chargers...Kemrer also added a team-high 12 digs, while sophomore

How it Happened: Lancaster Bible took the opening set against Keuka, but the Wolves battled back and were too much down the stretch as the Chargers couldn't mount a comeback. The Chargers had 40 kills over the four sets, but Keuka had 53, including 19 in the third set as the Chargers fell to 5-8 overall and 2-1 in NEAC play, while the Wolves improved to 7-4, 4-2 NEAC.
By the Numbers: Bowen had a team-high 13 kills for the Chargers, while Kemrer had a team-high 21 digs...
Allison Shuey had 36 assists and three blocks...Gipe had nine kills and eight digs...The Chargers had 12 more aces, including four from Bouslog and three each from 
Natalie Kennedy and Kemrer.
