The Lancaster Bible College women's soccer team got back into the win column on Saturday, as the Chargers defeated Wells, 2-0 in Aurora, N.Y. The Chargers are now 3-7-1 overall and 2-1 in North Eastern Athletic Conference play. The Express dropped 2-7 overall and 0-3 in conference play.
The Big Moments:
-Lancaster Bible controlled play early on, as the Chargers had a shot on goal and two corner kicks in the first nine minutes of the contest
-Lancaster Bible had nine shots in the first half, six of which were on goal, but the teams went to halftime, still scoreless
-Junior
Kiersten Hatch scored her fourth goal of the season at the 51:14 mark to give the Chargers a 1-0 advantage
-Lancaster Bible continued to pepper the goal, as the Chargers took another six shots in the 10 minutes following Hatch's goal.
-Sophomore
Kate Spiezio doubled the Chargers lead to 2-0 at 78:20, when she took a feed from fellow sophomore
Danni DeVinney and netted her fourth goal of the season.
