How it Happened: The teams traded baskets over the first few minutes, thought SUNY Cobleskill claimed a 14-8 lead after a layup from Quincey Miller with 14:31 to play in the first. The Tigers would eventually lead by as many as seven, 20-13, but Lancaster Bible used a 9-0 run to grab its first lead of the contest with 9:22 left in the first half. Senior Javon Cole knocked down a 3-pointer during the run, while sophomore Quentin Davis had four points, including the jumper that gave Lancaster Bible the lead.

The game slowed in the final nine minutes of the first half as the teams combined for just 17 more points. Davis drained another jumper with 2:42 remaining to give the Chargers a four-point lead, but the Tigers' knocked down Joel Costello three of four free throw attempts late in the half to cut Lancaster Bible's lead to 30-29 heading into halftime.

The Chargers opened the second half on a 6-0 run as freshman Brett Cataudella scored the team's first four points of the half. SUNY Cobleskill kept the game close and tied the contest at 42-42 with 12:55 remaining. The game once again settled into a back-and-forth as every possession proved important for each team. Trailing by two, Cataudella converted a layup with 5:27 to play to knot the game at 56-56, and the Chargers tied the game again less than two minutes later on a layup from freshman Luke Beers.

Davis gave Lancaster Bible a 60-58 lead a possession later and Beers drained a 3-pointer on the next possession to extend the Chargers' lead to five with 2:30 remaining. Lancaster Bible led by one with under a minute to play and junior Herbie Brown drew a foul sank both free throws to restore the team's three-point lead. SUNY Cobleskill tried to the game, but managed just one shot attempt over its last two possessions and Beers converted a pair of free throws with one second remaining to put the game away.
