Chargers Run Win Streak to Seven

The Lancaster Bible College men's volleyball team secured its second seven-match win streak of the season on Wednesday night as the Chargers defeated Wilkes, 3-1 in Wilkes-Barre, Pa. The Chargers are now 15-5 overall and are one win shy of tying the program record for wins in a season. 

By the Numbers: Lancaster Bible collected 47 kills over the four sets and had an attack percentage of 22.7 percent as the Chargers committed just 18 errors on 128 attempts...Wilkes had 37 kills and an attack percentage of 17.0 percent...Junior Kasey Gentry led the Chargers with 14 kills, 14 digs and three blocks...Sophomore Daniel Kreider added 12 kills and two blocks, while freshman Kole Horst had seven kills, six digs and a team-high three aces...Senior Derek Bigley had six kills, 12 digs and two aces, while freshman Kaleb Ansell had 41 assists and three blocks...Freshman Richard Solano had a match-high 20 digs...Lancaster Bible had seven aces and did not allow any.

Information Hodge Podge: Lancaster Bible is now 3-0 all-time against Wilkes...The Chargers defeated Wilkes, 3-0 on Jan. 28 in Glenside, Pa. and 3-0 on Feb. 1 in Lancaster, Pa...Lancaster Bible has five losses so far this season, three of them are to teams ranked in the top 10 in NCAA Division III (Eastern Mennonite (2) and Stevens), one is to an NCAA Division II team (King) and one is to SUNY Polytechnic...Kreider's 37.7 attack percentage leads the North Eastern Athletic Conference...Lancaster Bible leads the NEAC with 132 blocks this season.
