The Lancaster Bible College softball team continued its spring break trip in Florida on Wednesday and despite playing better, the Chargers lost twice, falling to Olivet and Western New England by the same 5-3 score. The Chargers are now 3-7 this season and 1-5 on their spring break trip that has seen them play tough teams from around the Northeast. Lancaster Bible wraps up its trip on Thursday when the Chargers will play Gordon at 8 a.m. and SUNY Geneseo at 10:30 a.m.

Julia D'Arrigo scored on an error to make it 5-3 and the Chargers had the tying runner on base with two outs, but could not plate the runs.

Western New England 5, Lancaster Bible 3
Game Notes: The Chargers got on the board first again as they scored twice in the bottom of the first...
Zoie Senn scored an unearned run to open the scoring and D'Arrigo stole home later in the inning to give Lancaster Bible a 2-0 advantage...Western New England got a run back in the second inning and tied the game at 2-2 in the top of the third, but Lancaster Bible restored its lead in the bottom half of the third as D'Arrigo smashed a solo home run...The lead was short lived however as Western New England tied the game in its half of the fourth and plated two more runs in the fifth inning...The Chargers brought the tying run to the plate in the seventh, but couldn't make a comeback.
