The Lancaster Bible College softball team not only has to head back to snowy Pennsylvania after being in Florida, but will have to do so after dropping its final two games of the trip on Thursday as the Chargers lost to Gordon, 5-2 and SUNY Geneseo, 12-0 in five innings. Lancaster Bible went 1-7 on the spring break trip and is now 3-9 overall this season. The Chargers are scheduled to play on Wednesday at home against Cedar Crest, but the snow from this past week will likely change those plans. Gordon 5, Lancaster Bible 2
Game Notes: Like many of the games during the spring break trip, the Chargers scored first as sophomore Samantha Denson singled home fellow sophomore Zoie Senn in the top of the first to give the Chargers an early advantage. Gordon answered back in its half of the first with a run and then scored two more in the second and one in the third to grab a 4-1 lead...The Chargers got a run back in the fifth as Senn singled to score freshman Martina McCauley, but Gordon responded again and rebuilt its three-run lead, which it would win by.

Inside the Box Score: Senn had two of Lancaster Bible's three hits as she was 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored...Denson was 1-for-3 with an RBI, while McCauley was 0-for-2 with a walk...Senior Kelsey Collins pitched well for the Chargers as she allowed just two earned runs and scattered six hits...Collins also struck out five batters.

Information Hodge Podge: This was the first meeting between the two teams...First pitch was at 8 a.m. 

SUNY Geneseo 12, Lancaster Bible 0 (5 innings)
Game Notes: For the second time on the trip, the Chargers were blanked by the Knights as Geneseo scored in four of the five innings and had 15 hits...SUNY Geneseo scored twice in the first and added four runs in both the third and fourth innings, before capping the scoring with two more runs in the fifth.

Inside the Box Score: Senior Julia D'Arrigo was 1-for-1 with a walk for the Chargers, while Senn added the only other Lancaster Bible hit...The Chargers struck out nine times.

Information Hodge Podge: Lancaster Bible was blanked 5-0 earlier in the week by SUNY Geneseo...In 12 innings this week against the Knights, the Chargers had just three hits...Lancaster Bible is now 0-3 all-time against SUNY Geneseo.
