The Lancaster Bible College women's lacrosse team improved to 2-1 this season on Saturday afternoon as the Chargers defeated Waynesburg, 14-5 in Waynesburg, Pa. The Yellow Jackets fell to 0-3 this season as the Chargers improved to 2-0 on the road in 2017.
How it Happened: The Chargers scored the first six goals of the game as Lancaster Bible put four goals on the scoreboard in the opening 2:27. Senior
Alyssa Wesner opened the flood gates just 45 seconds into the game as she made it 1-0 and junior
Myranda Kemrer followed 1:26 later off a feed from senior
Katy Stover. Wesner added her second of the game at 27:36 and junior
Raegan Horst made it 4-0 just moments later.Â
Lancaster Bible held the 4-0 lead for over 10 minutes until senior
Naomi Otis, playing in her first game of the season, made it 5-0 with her first goal of the year. Kemrer added her second of the year 2:30 later off a pass from freshman
Barb Foster, as the Chargers went ahead, 6-0.Â
Waynesburg eventually cut its deficit to 8-3, but two late goals by sophomore
Hannah Thompson and Wesner gave the Chargers a 10-3 advantage at the half.Â

Amber Moore each scored in the first five minutes of the second half to give the Chargers a 13-3 lead and Lancaster Bible maintained its lead the rest of the way to earn their second win of the year.Â
