The Lancaster Bible College women's lacrosse team dropped its second North Eastern Athletic Conference game of the weekend on Sunday afternoon as the Chargers lost to Bryn Athyn, 15-14 in overtime in Bryn Athyn, Pa. The loss drops the Chargers to 3-5 overall and 0-2 in conference play, while the Lions improved to 5-0 and 1-0 in NEAC play.
How it Happened: Sunday's game was a high-scoring affair from the opening draw, but unfortunately for the Chargers, it was Bryn Athyn who scored five of the first seven goals in the opening 12 minutes of the game. Sophomore
Hannah Thompson opened the scoring for the Chargers and junior
Myranda Kemrer tied the game at 2-2, 6:36 into the game, but the Lions rattled off three straight goals to grab a 5-2 advantage.

Alyssa Wesner kept the Chargers in the game in the first half, but it was still Bryn Athyn who held a 10-5 lead with just over a minute to play in the opening half. In stepped Thompson, who scored twice in the final 34 seconds to cut the Chargers' deficit to three, 10-7, heading into halftime.
Lancaster Bible kept the momentum into the second half as the Chargers scored the first four goals of the second half and took an 11-10 lead. Freshman
Barb Foster, Thompson, Kemrer and Wesner each scored in the first 11 minutes of the second half to give the Chargers a one goal advantage.Â
The teams exchanged goals over the next 10 minutes, but the Lions took a 14-13 lead on a man-advantage goal by Laura Clymer with 3:23 remaining. Lancaster Bible pressed for the equalizer and got it with 56 seconds to play as Kemrer scored off a feed from
Hannah Thompson to tie the score at 14-14.Â
In a repeat of Lancaster Bible's earlier overtime loss this season, the Chargers lost the draw to begin the overtime period and never got possession, as Clymer scored 35 seconds into overtime for the Lions and gave the home team the victory.
