The Lancaster Bible College women's soccer team won an important North Eastern Athletic Conference game on Saturday, as the Chargers defeated SUNY Poly, 4-0 at Donald H. Funk Field. The victory propels the Chargers to 5-6-1 overall and 4-3-1 in NEAC play, while the Wildcats dropped to 1-11-1 overall and 1-7 in NEAC action.

Game Recap: Lancaster Bible held possession for much of the first half, though SUNY Poly has dangerous forwards, including Nakeya Stedman who came into the contest with 10 goals this season. The Chargers began to turn up the pressure 10 minutes into the game, as
Sam Koons recorded three corner kicks in a 1:34 span. Lancaster Bible finally converted a chance at 15:52, when
Jackie Moore crossed a pass to
Julia Hultstrand, who was left alone in front of the net and easily scored her second goal of the season.

The Chargers continued to control much of the action later in the half, and just prior to halftime,
Maddie Dionne chased down a loose ball and found
Kylie Murray in front of the net, who chested the ball into the net to double Lancaster Bible's lead with 1:03 left in the opening frame.

Lancaster Bible grew its lead to 3-0 just 37 seconds into the second half, as
Bryanna Hoover collected a loose ball in front of the net and fired it into the left side of the net.

Less than 10 minutes later,
Jackie Moore made it 4-0 in favor of the Chargers, as she took a great feed from
Maggie Arnold who had raced down the field and saved the ball just prior to it going out of bounds. Moore took the crossing pass and easily scored into the net.

Lancaster Bible controlled play for much of the half, though Stedman had a chance late that went just wide, as the Chargers posted their fifth shutout of the season.

By the Numbers: Lancaster Bible outshot the Wildcats, 25-4, including 16-2 in shots on goal…The Chargers posted 11 corner kicks, while SUNY Poly did not have any…Hoover is now tied for the team lead with four goals…Alysia Thomas made 12 saves for the Wildcats…
Erin Mikula made just one save, as she picked up her fourth win of the year.
