The Lancaster Bible College women's volleyball team split its final tri-match of the season on Saturday, as the Chargers defeated St. Elizabeth in the team's final North Eastern Athletic Conference regular season match, 3-0, before falling to Misericordia, 3-2.

The victory over the Eagles was the team's 20
th of the season, and the Chargers are the first team in the program's 33-year history to hit the 20-win mark. Lancaster Bible is now 20-8 overall, and finished NEAC play with a 9-2 record. The conference mark was good enough to secure the second seed in next week's NEAC Playoffs, and the Chargers will await the winner of the Keuka vs. Wells NEAC Quarterfinal on Tuesday night.

Information Hodge Podge: Lancaster Bible is now 8-0 all-time against the Eagles…This was the final matchup between the two teams in conference play, as St. Elizabeth is leaving the NEAC following the 2018-19 academic year…The .282 team hitting percentage was the highest for the team since posting a .314 mark in a 3-0 win over Eastern Mennonite on Oct. 9…Lancaster Bible's nine NEAC wins tie a program record with the 2014 team that went 9-3 in conference play, though this year's team posted a better winning percentage.

By the Numbers: Misericordia held a 46-37 edge in kills, while the Chargers had a season-high 18 aces, and the Cougars posted 12 aces…Misericordia also led in team blocks (9-8), and digs (68-65)…Lancaster Bible struggled to hit consistently in its second match of the day, as the team posted negative hitting percentages in sets two and four, while the Chargers were even in the fifth set…Goyak led the Chargers with nine kills and four blocks, while Heyworth posted eight blocks, 11 digs, three aces and three blocks…Sophomore

Information Hodge Podge: Lancaster Bible is now 0-3 all-time against the Cougars…This was the first matchup between the two schools since the 1994 season…The 18 aces are not only a season-high, but is the 14
th time this season the Chargers have had double-digit aces in a match…The 18 aces are also tied for the sixth-most in a single match in program history, and the most since Lancaster Bible had 19 in a victory over St. Elizabeth on Oct. 4, 2014.
The Coach Says: "We played pretty well in the first set, but they responded in the second set, and we didn't really punch back," Herron said. "We won the third, but didn't do much right in the fourth and fifth sets. Little things can make a big difference, and we didn't do the little things today, and it cost us."
On having the week off prior to the NEACÂ Playoffs: "We know what we need to do to get ready for next weekend, I look forward to having a good week of practice," Herron said
