The Lancaster Bible College field hockey team saw its losing streak stretched to nine on Saturday, as the Chargers fell to Ramapo, 11-0 in Mahwah, N.J. The loss drops the Chargers to 0-9 this season, while the Roadrunners improved to 4-7.
Game Recap: Ramapo got on the board in the opening minute on Saturday, as Melissa Choka scored her fourth goal of the season. Mariah Tovar made it 2-0 just under two minutes later, and the Roadrunners scored twice more at 10:15 and 10:55 to grab and early 4-0 advantage.
Goals by Claudia Wetzel and Autumn Laird 57 seconds apart later in the first half extended Ramapo's lead to 6-0, and the score remained that way through halftime.
The Roadrunners scored four times in an 8:08 span early in the second half, and capped the scoring at 66:35 on a goal by Angela Oskierko.
