The Lancaster Bible College men's basketball team lost its third straight game on Tuesday night, as the Chargers fell to Wesley, 95-56 in Dover, Del. The Chargers are now 1-3 this season, while the Wolverines improved to 1-3.

Game Recap: Lancaster Bible opened the game on a 7-2 run, as sophomore
Britton Beachy scored five of the seven points, and ended the run with a jumper 1:15 into the contest. Wesley responded with a 12-2 run, and led 14-9 after a free throw from Brian Cameron.

Lancaster Bible tried to claw back into the game, and trailed just 22-16 after a jumper from junior
Luke Beers with 10:25 to play in the first half, but an 18-2 Wesley run followed, and the home team led 40-18 after a layup from Moe Goin with 4:14 remaining.

Trailing, 55-24 at halftime, Lancaster Bible played better in the second half, but couldn't put a dent into the deficit, and Wesley took its biggest lead of the game, 92-50, with 3:20 to play after a jumper from Christian Chaney.

By the Numbers: Lancaster Bible shot 31.3 percent (20-of-64) from the floor, but just 17.2 percent (5-of-29) from beyond the arc…Wesley shot 51.6 percent (33-of-64) from the field, and 13-of-26 from 3-point range…Beachy and
Alex Whitt each had 12 points to pace the Chargers, while
Jordan Shewbridge and
Isaac Beers had five points.

Information Hodge Podge: Lancaster Bible is now 1-7 all-time against Wesley…The Chargers lost, 83-78 to the Wolverines last season in Lancaster…The 39-point loss is the largest margin of defeat since the Chargers lost by 58 to Franklin & Marshall (109-51) on Jan. 6, 2011…Through four games, the Chargers are being outscored by 61 points (339-278).
