The Lancaster Bible College men's volleyball team won its fourth straight match on Saturday, defeating D'Youville, 3-0 in Buffalo, N.Y. The Chargers won, 25-14, 31-29, 25-22, and improved to 14-4 overall this season and 3-0 in North Eastern Athletic Conference play, while the Spartans dropped to 4-12 overall and 1-2 in NEAC action.

1st Set Highlights:
-Lancaster Bible opened the match with four straight kills, as sophomore Kole Horst had three, and junior Nate Miller had the other
-Leading, 8-5, Lancaster Bible won eight of nine points to open a 16-6 advantage
-The Chargers strung together three straight kills late in the set, and then won the set three points later, 25-14

2nd Set Highlights:
-In what was one of Lancaster Bible's longest sets of the season, the Chargers prevailed late, and won, 31-29
-The teams matched point-for-point early in the set, before Lancaster Bible won four straight points to take a 16-13 lead
-D'Youville won six of the next seven points for a 19-17 lead, and eventually took a 22-19 advantage
-The Chargers fought off a set point thanks to a kill from senior Kasey Gentry, and then fought off five more set points as well
-Trailing, 29-28, Horst tied the set with a kill, and then gave the Chargers the lead with an ace...A D'Youville attack error then gave the Charges the set on the next point

3rd Set Highlights:
-The teams once again went back-and-forth for the length of the set, with the Chargers grabbing a late 22-19 lead
-Leading 23-22, Miller smashed home a kill to make it 24-22, and he clinched the match on the next point with an ace

By the Numbers:
-Lancaster Bible had 46 kills and 14 errors on 76 attempts for a .421 hitting percentage...The Chargers held a 10-4 advantage in aces, and a 7-5 edge in blocks...Miller led the Chargers with 19 kills and two aces, and also posted a .517 hitting percentage...Horst posted 14 kills and two blocks, and a team-high three aces...Gentry added seven kills, four aces and three blocks...Junior Daniel Kreider had four kills and three blocks...Junior Garyd Martin had 37 assists, three digs and an ace...Ali Khadra had nine kills to lead the Spartans.

Information Hodge Podge: Lancaster Bible is now 4-7 all-time against D'Youville...The three-set sweep was the eighth of the year for Lancaster Bible...Saturday was the third time this season the Chargers have posted a hitting percentage above .400...Lancaster Bible had 12 block assists on Saturday, the third-most in a match this season...The Chargers' 10 aces were the second-most in a match season.
