The Lancaster Bible College men's volleyball team ran its winning streak to seven matches on Saturday, defeating both Maranatha Baptist and Cairn at Horst Athletic Center. The Chargers are now 17-4 this season, and haven't lost in three weeks. The Chargers defeated Maranatha, 3-0 in the first match, and took down the Highlanders, 3-0 in the final match of the day.Â

1st Set Highlights:
-Lancaster Bible won seven of the first eight points in the opening set, as freshman Kyran Flahive had two killsÂ
-Maranatha fought back and trailed just 13-10, before the Chargers rattled off three straight points, two of which came on kills from sophomore Kole Horst
-The Sabercats kept the set close, but the Chargers won four of five points late in the set to grab a 24-17 advantage and took the set a point later on a service error by Maranatha
2nd Set Highlights:
-The teams traded points early in the second set, before Lancaster Bible got four straight kills from sophomores Benjamin Herb and Jacob Faust, as well as Horst and Flahive
-Maranatha again kept the set close, and closed its gap to 24-18 after taking three of four points late in the set, but another kill from Flahive sealed the second set for the Chargers, 25-18
3rd Set Highlights:
-The Sabercats raced out to leads of 4-2 and 6-4 early in the third set, but with the set tied 8-8, Lancaster Bible strung together eight straight points, as freshman Zeke Hallman's service kept Maranatha off balance and allowed the Chargers to take a commanding lead
-Junior Nate Miller had two kills during the run, while the Sabercats also committed six errors
-Lancaster Bible continued to pour it on late in the set, and a thunderous kill from Miller gave the set and the match to the Chargers
By the Numbers: Lancaster Bible had 40 kills and nine errors on 81 attempts for a .383 hitting percentage, while the Sabercats had 16 kills and 18 errors on 74 attempts for a -.027 hitting percentage...Horst led the Chargers with 11 kills, while Flahive added seven and Miller had five...Sophomore Kaleb Ansell had 21 assists and five digs, while junior Garyd Martin had 14 assists...Hallman added a dig and two blocks for the Chargers, while Faust had three kills and three blocks...Derek Wallis and Devon Steuerwald each had five kills to lead the Sabercats.
Information Hodge Podge: This was the first-ever meeting between the two schools...The sweep was the third straight for the Chargers and fifth in the last five matches...The match marked the fourth time this season, and second straight match, the Chargers have only had single-digit errors...Lancaster Bible's 13 block assists were the third-most in a match this season.

1st Set Highlights:
-The teams exchanged points early in the set, before the Highlanders won four straight points to grab a 13-10 lead
-After a Lancaster Bible timeout, the Chargers won six of the next nine points to tie the match at 16-16
-With the match tied 17-17, Lancaster Bible earned four straight points, one from a kill from Horst, followed by an ace by Miller, which was followed by two straight Cairn errors
-Lancaster Bible clinched the set a few points later on a Highlander error
2nd Set Highlights:
-The Chargers won eight of the first 12 points, five of which came via kills, while senior
Sky Woelkers and Horst added aces
-Miller slammed home two kills to make it 10-5 in favor of the Chargers, and Lancaster Bible took six of seven points midway through the set to grab a 19-9 advantage
-After two kills from junior Daniel Kreider late in the set, Horst clinched the second frame for the Chargers with a kill
3rd Set Highlights:
-Cairn took an early 6-3 lead after a few Lancaster Bible errors and an ace from Jon Simpson
-The Chargers fought back and took a 7-6 lead after a kill from Kreider
-Lancaster Bible then won 11 of 13 points, four of the final five coming on kills from Miller, and took a commanding 21-10 lead
-Miller added an ace later in the set, and the Chargers completed the sweep on a service error by the Highlanders
