The Lancaster Bible College softball team lost twice to St. Elizabeth on Friday, falling to the Eagles, 9-1 in game one, and 7-4 in game two. The losses drop the Chargers to 5-21 overall this season and 2-6 in North Eastern Athletic Conference play, while the Eagles climbed to 10-8 overall and 4-0 in NEAC play.
St. Elizabeth 9, Lancaster Bible 1 -- Game 1
Game Notes:
-St. Elizabeth opened the scoring with a run in the first inning, and then tacked on three more in the top of the third, as Neckolette Nedwell hit a bases-clearing triple to right field to make it 4-0
-The Chargers answered in the bottom half of the third, as Zoie Senn hit a triple of her own that scored her sister Marissa, and made it a 4-1 game
-The game remained 4-1 for the next three innings, before the Eagles exploded for five runs in the top half of the seventh inning
-Nedwell doubled to right field to bring home two runs, and Brittany Demarest hit a two-run double later in the inning as well

-Six different players had one hit for the Chargers, including Kendra Brown, Martina McCauley, both Senn sisters, Morgan Burkholder and Bekah Roberts
-DeKok earned the loss, though she did strike out four batters
-St. Elizabeth starter Alyssa Hampton struck out three, and got 12 fly-ball outs

Game Notes:
-Lancaster Bible opened the scoring in game two, as the Chargers scored three times in the bottom of the first
-DeKok doubled home Zoie Senn to give the Chargers a 1-0 lead, and Roberts singled home DeKok later in the inning, before Brown had an RBI groundout that scored Burkholder
-St. Elizabeth got a run back in the top of the second, and then tied the game in the top of the third, as Demarest tied the game on an RBI single
-Lancaster Bible re-took the lead in the bottom half of the third when Katie Kleinhans singled home Burkholder to give the Chargers a 4-3 advantage
-St. Elizabeth knotted the game at 4-4 in the fourth, and then took the lead later in the inning when Rachael Romer scored to make it 5-4
-The Eagles added two more insurance runs in the fifth inning on Genesis Sanchez's RBI single
