The Lancaster Bible College softball team had its losing streak extended to four on Saturday afternoon, as Wilson swept a doubleheader from the Chargers at Charger Field. Wilson won game one, 14-3 in five innings, and took game two, 6-0. The losses drop the Chargers to 5-23 overall and 2-8 in North Eastern Athletic Conference play, while Wilson improved to 8-10 overall and 6-2 in conference action.
 
Wilson 14, Lancaster Bible 3 – 5 innings (Game 1)
Game Notes:
-Lancaster Bible opened the scoring in the first inning on Morgan Burkholder's single that scored Zoie Senn
-Wilson scored the next nine runs of the game however, as the Phoenix scored once in the second, and then four times in both the third and fourth innings
-Lancaster Bible got a run back in the fourth as Nicole DeKok scored on a Wilson error, but the Phoenix scored five more times in the top half of the fifth to take a 14-2 lead
-Burkholder added her second RBI of the game on a single in the bottom of the fifth, but it was not enough to extend the game
 
Inside the Box Score:
-DeKok and Burkholder were each 2-for-3, while Zoie Senn and Rheeana Miles were each 1-for-3 with a run scored…Bekah Roberts was also 1-for-3 for the Chargers…Jenna Carty was 4-for-4 with five RBI for the Phoenix.
 
Wilson 6, Lancaster Bible 0 – Game 2
Game Notes:
-The game was scoreless through the first two innings, before Wilson got on the board in the top of the third, as the Phoenix scored an unearned run
-Lancaster Bible couldn't put enough offense together to score, and Wilson put the game away in the top of the seventh, as the Phoenix scored five runs
 
Inside the Box Score:
-Roberts finished 1-for-3 in game two, while Katie Kleinhans was 1-for-2…Zoie Senn, Miles, Burkholder, Martina McCauley and Marissa Senn each drew a walk for Lancaster Bible, but the Chargers stranded eight runners on base and were shutout for the eighth time this season…McCauley pitched well for the Chargers, as she scattered six hits and gave up just three earned runs
 
Information Hodge Podge:  Lancaster Bible is now 4-33 all-time against Wilson…The Chargers are now 4-8 at home this season…Burkholder has hits in eight of her last 10 games…The Chargers have just 10 runs in their past five games.
