The Lancaster Bible College women's lacrosse team made history on Wednesday night, posting the first-ever shutout in program history, as the Chargers defeated Cedar Crest, 15-0 in Allentown, Pa. Lancaster Bible is now 3-10 overall this season, while the Falcons dropped to 0-10.
1st Half Highlights:
-Junior Raegan Horst opened the scoring just 17 seconds into the game on Wednesday night, as the Chargers took an early advantage
-Juniors Sara Bell and Hannah Thompson added goals less than three minutes later, while sophomore Kaylee Boger and senior Myranda Kemrer scored 10 seconds apart less than a minute after Thompson's goal to make it 5-0 in favor of the Chargers, just 3:36 into the game
-Thompson and Kemrer netted their second goals of the game later in the first 10 minutes of the game to make it 7-0 Lancaster Bible less than 10 minutes into the game
-After another goal by Horst, this time off a feed from sophomore Hope Privitera, junior Courtney Stump scored back-to-back goals to give the Chargers a 10-goal lead
-Boger's second of the game made it 11-0 with just under five minutes to play in the opening half, and the Chargers would take that same 11-goal lead into halftime
2nd Half Highlights:
-Mara Pepper scored her first two collegiate goals in the second frame, as she netted back-to-back goals over an eight-minute span
-Senior Rachel Kumher scored later in the half as well for Lancaster Bible, and with 18 seconds to play, sophomore Nina Statuti scored the first goal of her collegiate career to cap the scoring

-Lancaster Bible led 40-2 in shots, including 34-1 in shots on goal...The Chargers also held a 47-27 advantage in ground balls, and a 13-2 edge in draw controls...Horst finished with two goals and two assists, while Stump, Kemrer, Boger, Pepper and Thompson each had two goals as well...Emily Morgan and Privitera picked up assists for the Chargers who won their second straight game...Goalie Nicolette Statuti made the lone save of the game for the Chargers and picked up the win, as she and Sara Petersen split time in net.
Information Hodge Podge: Lancaster Bible is now 3-2 all-time against Cedar Crest...Prior to Wednesday night, the closest the Chargers had come to a shutout was during the 2011 season when they defeated Rosemont, 18-1...Lancaster Bible is now 2-5 in games away from Charger Field this season...The 40 shots were a season-high for Lancaster Bible, as were the 47 ground balls and 17 caused turnovers.
