Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 The Lancaster Bible College women's volleyball team opened its 2018 campaign with a pair of losses on Friday afternoon and evening, as the Chargers fell to McDaniel, 3-0 and Meredith, 3-2 at the Gettysburg Battlefield Classic in Gettysburg, Pa. The Chargers are now 0-2 after day one of the tournament, while McDaniel is 2-0, and Meredith is 1-1.

Recap: McDaniel swept the match, and held a 31-25 edge in kills, and a 12-5 advantage in aces...Junior Ashtyn Bouslog led the Chargers with eight kills, while sophomore Bekah Roberts had five kills...Junior Allison Shuey had 18 assists, three blocks and six digs, while senior Hannah Thompson chipped in with a team-high 12 digs...The Chargers are now 0-3 all-time against the Green Terror.

Recap: Lancaster Bible fought back from a set down twice, but couldn't complete the comeback, falling to Meredith in five sets...Three different Lancaster Bible players had double digit kills, including senior Hannah Gipe who had a team-best 12 kills...Bouslog added 11 kills, while sophomore Aleah Heyworth had 10 kills and a block...Shuey had three kills, 38 assists, four aces, six digs and three blocks in the match, while Roberts added four aces and three blocks...Thompson once again led the way with 24 digs...Lancaster Bible is now 0-1 all-time against Meredith.
