The trend continued in the second half as well, as
Kayla Hubbard had two early shots that were saved by Friend. Neither team could get much offense going in the second 45 minutes, though it was the Chargers who had the opportunities, outshooting the Nittany Lions, 5-1 in the second half.
Penn St. Abington's offense woke up in the first overtime, as they took four shots, but the two that were on frame were saved by Lancaster Bible goalkeeper
Erin Mikula, who made her second straight start.
The Charges outshot the Nittany Lions, 2-1 in the second overtime, as Hubbard's shot went wide, and senior
Maddie Dionne's chance was gobbled up by Friend. Neither team could create the late game-winning goal in the final minutes, and the Chargers secured their first tie of the season.
