The Lancaster Bible College men's soccer team ran its winning streak to three games on Tuesday night in Reading, Pa., as the Chargers defeated Albright, 3-0. Lancaster Bible is now 7-2 overall this season, while the Lions dropped to 5-6.
Â
How it Happened: Like they did in Saturday's 6-2 victory over Penn St. Berks, the Chargers peppered their opponent with early shots and offensive chances, as Lancaster Bible had six shots and two corner kicks in the opening 13:40 of the contest. Unlike Saturday however, the Chargers didn't get an early goal, and the game remained scoreless over the first 45 minutes, as Lancaster Bible had chance after chance.
Â
Early in the second half however, Lancaster Bible had another early corner kick try and early shot, and the second shot of the half came off
Michael Eufemia's foot, and found the back of the net for a 1-0 Chargers lead. Eufemia took a pass from
Rusty Risteen, and netted his fourth goal of the year, and third in two games, to give Lancaster Bible a one-goal advantage.
Â
Lancaster Bible continued the offensive barrage throughout the second half, and freshman Clark Shriner scored for the second straight game at the 71:53 mark, and gave the Chargers a two-goal lead with his third tally of the season.
Â
Senior
Dan Bewersdorff capped the scoring for the Chargers at 81:28, as he took a pass from
Kenny Akselsen, and made it 3-0 in favor of the visitors.
