The Lancaster Bible College women's soccer team punched its ticket to the North Eastern Athletic Conference playoffs on Saturday afternoon, defeating Cazenovia, 2-1, for the final conference playoff spot. Lancaster Bible will take on third-seeded Penn St. Harrisburg on Tuesday afternoon at 2 p.m. in Middletown, Pa., with the winner advancing to the NEAC Semifinals next weekend at Penn St. Berks.

Saturday's Senior Day victory improves the Chargers to 9-9 overall this season and 5-6 in NEAC play, while the Wildcats ended their season with a 6-10-1 overall record and a 3-7-1 mark in NEAC action.

How it Happened: After the teams opened the game by trading possessions, Cazenovia committed a foul in their defensive end, giving the Chargers a free kick. Junior Samantha Koons stepped up and drilled a beautiful shot past the goalkeeper for her first goal of the year that gave Lancaster Bible a 1-0 lead at 18:55.

The Chargers held the lead for over 20 minutes, but at 41:07, Cassidy Rattray got free and scored to level the score at 1-1.

Lancaster Bible wasn't fazed, and junior
Marissa Allebach took a pass from
Megan Rogers at 44:41, and restored the Chargers one-goal lead with her first goal of the season to give the home team a 2-1 lead at halftime.

The Lancaster Bible team defense did the rest, as the Chargers held the Wildcats to just two shots in the second half, and kept their 2-1 lead throughout the entire second half.
