The 12
th ranked Lancaster Bible College men's volleyball team won its eighth straight match on Thursday night, defeating Wilson, 3-0 in Chambersburg, Pa., as the Chargers opened North Eastern Athletic Conference play with a win. Lancaster Bible is now 8-2 overall this season, and 1-0 in conference play, while the Phoenix dropped to 1-1 overall and 0-1 in NEAC action. The Chargers secured the three-set victory on Thursday night by winning, 25-16, 25-17, 25-14.

How it Happened: The opening set was relatively close for the first half of the set, but Lancaster Bible pulled away in the mid-part of the set, and won, 25-16, as the Chargers pounded 13 kills against just two errors on 20 attempts.

The Chargers continued their momentum from the first set, and jumped out to an early lead in the second and never looked back, winning, 25-17. The third set featured much of the same, as the Chargers crushed 13 more kills en route to the 25-14 victory.

By the Numbers: Lancaster Bible had 36 kills against just nine errors on 68 attempts for a .397 hitting percentage…Wilson had 19 kills and 15 errors on 65 attempts for a .062 hitting percentage…The Chargers also held a 36-13 lead in assists, while each team had five blocks…
Nate Miller led the Chargers with 12 kills, and also added three blocks and four digs…
Kole Horst added six kills and five digs, while
Benjamin Herb had five kills…
Zeke Hallman chipped in with two kills and a team-high four blocks…
Kyran Flahive added two kills, while
Kaleb Ansell had three kills and 31 assists…Aaron Hoke had seven kills to lead the Phoenix.
