The Lancaster Bible College softball team concluded its week in Myrtle Beach, S.C. on Friday, as the Chargers defeated Dean, 6-4, and then lost to Greenville, 14-6. Lancaster Bible caps the week with a 2-6 record, and will now play four more non-conference games, before embarking on North Eastern Athletic Conference play on Friday, March 29 against Penn St. Abington.

Lancaster Bible 6, Dean 4
Game Notes:
-Lancaster Bible opened the scoring in the first inning, as
Zoie Senn reached on an error, and
Rheeana Miles scored, to give the Chargers a 1-0 lead
-Dean scored twice in the third inning to build a 2-1 lead, but Lancaster Bible battled back in the sixth inning, as
Morgan Burkholder singled home
Nicole DeKok to tie the game, and
Martina McCauley drove in two runs later in the inning to give the Chargers a 4-2 advantage
-Dean got a run back in the bottom half of the sixth inning, but the Chargers rebuilt their two-run lead in late in the game, and hung on for their second win of the season
-This was the first-ever meeting between the two schools

-Greenville wasted no time getting its offense going, as the Panthers scored nine times in the first two innings
-Lancaster Bible scored three times in the fourth…
Zoie Senn scored on an error to get the Chargers on the scoreboard, and Hoover hit a two-run single later in the inning that scored DeKok and Burkholder
-The Panthers tacked on four more runs in the sixth, though the Chargers scored three times in the bottom of the inning to extend the contest
-Hoover tripled home two runs in the sixth, and
Marissa Senn added an RBI groundout later in the inning
-Greenville defeated the Chargers, 12-2 on Thursday, and the Panthers are now 2-0 all-time against Lancaster Bible
