The Lancaster Bible College women's lacrosse team cracked the win column for the first time this season on Saturday afternoon, as the Chargers defeated Wesley, 16-12 at Donald H. Funk Field. The victory propels the Chargers to 1-6 this season, while the Wolverines dropped to 5-3.

How it Happened: Seniors
Raegan Horst and
Hannah Thompson got the Chargers on the board early in the contest, before Wesley scored four straight goals to take a 4-2 lead with 14:13 remaining in the opening half.

The Chargers dominated the next seven minutes, as they scored five times, as it was Thompson and Horst filling up the scoresheet. Horst's third goal of the game with 7:04 remaining in the opening frame gave Lancaster Bible a 7-4 advantage. Wesley rebounded with two straight goals, and the teams then split the final two goals of the opening half, and Lancaster Bible held an 8-7 lead after 30 minutes of play.

Horst opened the scoring in the second half to give the Chargers a 9-7 edge, but Wesley came back with two goals, and tied the game at 9-9 with 13:42 to play. An offensive burst from the Chargers followed, and Lancaster Bible scored five times over the next seven minutes, and grabbed a 14-9 advantage. Kaylee Boger added the final goal with 5:28 to play.

The Wolverines got a goal back, but
Hope Privitera and Thompson scored back-to-back goals with under five minutes to play, and effectively put the visitors away.
