The Lancaster Bible College women's lacrosse team wrapped up non-conference action on Wednesday, and the Chargers will enter North Eastern Athletic Conference play on a loss, as Lancaster Bible fell to Ramapo, 21-4 in Mahwah, N.J. The Chargers are now 1-7 overall, while the Roadrunners improved to 4-2.

How it Happened: Ramapo wasted little time getting on the board on Wednesday, scoring three times in the first 5:36 of the contest. Three different goal scorers netted tallies for the home team, and they continued to pour it on six minutes later with two goals in a 17-second span. Senior
Raegan Horst got the Chargers on the board at 12:24 with her 20
th goal of the season, but it did little to deter Ramapo, who scored four straight goals and led, 9-1 with just under 12 minutes to play in the opening half.

Horst scored again at 19:09 on an assist from
Courtney Stump, but the Roadrunners scored the final six goals of the half, including three in the final 3:40, and led 15-2 at the break.

The teams traded goals to open the second frame, as Horst completed the hat trick 2:39 into the half, but Ramapo increased its lead to 19-3 on Varonica Caggiano's first goal of the year at 16:21. Senior
Hannah Thompson netted a goal off a feed from
Kaylee Boger with just over 10 minutes to play, but it would be the final goal for the Chargers, as Ramapo scored twice in the final nine minutes of the game to produce the final score.

By the Numbers: Ramapo held a 27-16 edge in shots, and a 24-14 advantage in shots on goal…Ramapo scooped up 17 ground balls, while the Chargers had nine…Each team had 13 draw controls…Horst finished with three goals, while Thompson had a goal and an assist…

Information Hodge Podge: Wednesday marked the first game between the two schools…The 21 goals allowed are a season-high, and the most since the Chargers allowed 21 to Keuka last April 22…Lancaster Bible is 0-4 on the road this season…The Chargers are being outscored, 65-37 in the first half of games this season…Horst's three goals on Wednesday give her 22 for the season, and she joins Thompson as the only other player with 20 or more goals this year.
