The Lancaster Bible College women's tennis team posted its third straight win on Friday, as the Chargers opened North Eastern Athletic Conference play with a 9-0 victory over Penn College at the Hempfield Rec Center. The win moves the Chargers to 3-2 overall and 1-0 in NEAC play, while the Wildcats dropped to 0-4 overall and 0-1 in conference action.
 
How it Happened: The Chargers cruised through doubles action on Friday, as the top team of 
Greta Strunk and 
Michaela Dearborn won 8-3, the number two team of 
Haylee Fishel and 
Kayla Hubbard won by a score of 8-5. The flight three doubles team of 
Sarah Wetzel and 
Kenedi Berkhimer shutout their opponents, Marcie Harman and Deidre Satterly, 8-0.
 
Strunk and Dearborn earned two more in singles play, as Strunk won, 6-2, 6-1 at number one singles play, and Dearborn picked up a 6-0, 6-3 victory at number two singles. Fishel breezed to a 6-0, 6-2 victory at number three singles, while Hubbard won, 6-0, 6-1 in flight four singles. Wetzel was a 6-0, 6-1 winner at number five singles, and Berkhimer won by the same scores at number six singles.
 
Information Hodge Podge: Lancaster Bible is now 4-1 all-time against Penn College…The Chargers are now 2-1 at home this season…Hubbard is now 4-1 in singles play this season, while she and Fishel are 4-1 in doubles action as well.
