The Lancaster Bible College softball team split a doubleheader for the fourth time in its last five twin bills on Friday, as the Chargers dropped game one to Cazenovia, 5-3, but rebounded for a 10-2 victory in game two. Lancaster Bible is now 9-17 overall this season and 3-7 in North Eastern Athletic Conference play, while the Wildcats stand at 7-11 overall and 3-5 in NEAC action.

How it Happened: Cazenovia jumped out to a 2-0 lead through two innings, but Lancaster Bible answered in the third, as
Alyssa Groff led off the inning with a single, and then advanced to second on a sacrifice bunt from
Marissa Senn.
Martina McCauley singled to move Groff over another bag, and McCauley went to second on a fielder's choice by
Zoie Senn, though Senn reached first on the play to load the bases.

After an out,
Morgan Burkholder reached on an error that scored McCauley, but the Chargers couldn't score any more runs in the inning. The Wildcats scored a run in the fourth, but Lancaster Bible again cut into its deficit in the fifth, as
Nicole DeKok singled in
Zoie Senn.

A two-run single in the fifth put Cazenovia ahead 5-2 after five innings, though Lancaster Bible scored a run in the sixth on an RBI single by Groff that scored
Bryanna Hoover. The Chargers went down in order in the seventh, and Wildcats took game one, 5-3.

Rheeana Miles and took a 2-1 lead. DeKok and Burkholder each had two-run doubles in the fourth inning to make it 6-1 in favor of the visitors, and a three-run double from
Zoie Senn highlighted a four-run fifth inning, and the Chargers had their doubleheader split.
