The Lancaster Bible College softball team lost its final road games of the season on Tuesday, as the Chargers dropped a doubleheader to Penn College in Williamsport, Pa. Lancaster Bible lost game one, 4-0, and then fell in game two, 10-2 in five innings. The Chargers are now 11-21 overall and 5-11 in North Eastern Athletic Conference play, while the Wildcats improved to 18-12 overall and 10-4 in NEAC action.

Game 1
Penn College 4, Lancaster Bible 0
How it Happened: Penn College took advantage of a Lancaster Bible error in the bottom of the first inning to take a 1-0 lead, and the game remained that way until the fourth inning, when the Wildcats tacked on another run for a 2-0 lead.

Nicole DeKok provided all of the offense for the Chargers in game one, as she had the only two hits for Lancaster Bible. DeKok doubled to lead-off the fourth inning, but was stranded there, and after the Wildcats scored in the bottom half of the inning, Penn College scored two more times in the fifth inning as well.

Inside the Box Score: DeKok finished 2-for-3 from the plate, while
Kendra Brown was 0-for-1 with a walk…Other than DeKok's hits, the Chargers were a combined 0-for-21 at the plate…DeKok also pitched well for the Chargers, as eh allowed just three earned runs in six innings and struck out one.

Penn College 10, Lancaster Bible 2 (5 innings)
How it Happened: Lancaster Bible took a 1-0 lead in the top of the first, as DeKok singled home
Martina McCauley who had singled to lead off the game. The Chargers had runners on second and third later in the inning with no one out, but couldn't plate anymore runs, and the Bison tied the game, 1-1 in the bottom half of the inning.

The Wildcats scored two more times in the second inning to grab a 3-1 lead, but the Chargers responded in the third as Brown drew a bases loaded walk, which scored
Morgan Burkholder to make it 3-2.

Penn College batted around in the third inning, as the home team scored six runs on three hits and two errors. The Wildcats tacked on another run in the fourth, and then kept Lancaster Bible off the scoreboard in the fifth inning to secure the 10-2 victory.
