The Lancaster Bible College women's soccer team dropped its second straight game on Monday night, as the Chargers lost to Wesley, 3-1 in Dover, Del. The loss sends the Chargers to 4-4 overall this season, while the Wolverines improved to 4-3.

How it Happened: Neither team produced much offense in the opening 45 minutes, as the Chargers had just one corner kick opportunity, and one shot toward the goal, while the Wolverines had just two shots.

The second half was the exact opposite, as Wesley posted an early shot on goal that was saved by Lancaster Bible goalkeeper, but 4:15 into the second frame, Wesley got on the board on a goal by Mackenzie Forsythe to make it 1-0.

Mikula made two more saves later in the half to keep the Chargers in the game, and it paid off at 70:34, as
Bryanna Hoover scored her second goal of the season to tie the game at 1-1. The tie didn't last long however, as Wesley's Amanda Moccaldi scored on a penalty kick 56 seconds after Hoover tied the game, and the Wolverines regained their one-goal lead.

Just 1:28 later, Wesley tacked on an insurance goal, as Madison D'Amico scored off an assist from Moccaldi, and effectively put the game out of reach.

Statistically Speaking: Wesley outshot the Chargers, 11-4, including 9-2 in shots on goal…Lancaster Bible had two corner kicks, while Wesley had just one…Mikula finished with six saves in the loss.

News & Notes: Monday was the first-ever meeting between the two programs…Lancaster Bible is 1-2 on the road this season…The Chargers are outscoring teams 6-2 in the first half of games this season, and 10-9 in second half of games…Hoover's other goal this season was scored in Lancaster Bible's win over Cairn on Sept. 6.
