Wolverines Blank Chargers

The Lancaster Bible College women's lacrosse team dropped to 0-2 on Wednesday, as the Chargers fell to Wesley, 15-0 in Dover, Del. The win moves the Wolverines to 1-0 this season, while the Chargers drop to 0-1 on the road.
 
First Half Notes
-All of the game's scoring took place in the opening half, as Wesley opened the scoring 2:38 into the contest
-The Wolverines added two more goals in the opening five minutes for a 3-0 lead, and led 6-0 after 10 minutes of play
-It was 11-0 less than five minutes later, and the host Wolverines scored four more times in the final 12 minutes of the half to close out the frame with a 15-0 lead
-Wesley outshot the Chargers, 32-3 in the opening half, including 28-2 in shots on goal
 
Second Half Notes
-There wasn't a ton of action in the second half, as each team recorded a shot
 
By the Numbers: Wesley outshot the Chargers, 33-4, including 28-2 in shots on goal…Lancaster Bible was just 10-of-32 on clearing attempts…Wesley held a 32-15 edge in ground balls, and a 14-3 advantage in draw controls…Camryn Horst led the Chargers with six caused turnovers and five ground balls…Emma Thomann made 13 saves for Lancaster Bible…Catherine Bennett and Kassie Dieter each had four goals to lead the Wolverines.
 
The Coach Says: "We definitely saw our youth exploited today, and we stood and watched a great game from all angles," Lancaster Bible Head Coach Cheri Horst said. "We were slow everywhere to start the game, and found a better gear late in the game, but need to find that gear way earlier in games."
 
News & Notes: Lancaster Bible is now 2-7 all-time against Wesley…The Chargers beat Wesley, 16-12 last season in Lancaster…Lancaster Bible was 1-8 on the road last season…Wednesday marked the sixth time in program history the Chargers have been shutout, and the first time since April 12, 2014 at Keuka…Thomann has 25 saves in her first two collegiate games.
 
Up Next: Lancaster Bible will host Houghton on Friday at 12 p.m…The game was originally scheduled for 4 p.m., but has been moved up.
