The Lancaster Bible College men's volleyball team cruised to two North Eastern Athletic Conference victories on Saturday, defeating Wilson and SUNY Potsdam by identical 3-0 scores. The wins send the Chargers to 10-2 overall and 2-0 in NEAC play. SUNY Potsdam defeated Wilson in the middle of the three matches, and the Bears are now 2-3 overall and 1-1 in conference play, while Wilson dropped its first two matches of the season and is 0-2 overall and in NEAC play.

Match Notes: Lancaster Bible played just about everyone in the opening match, as the Chargers won their first NEAC match of the season…After an early back-and-forth in the opening set, the Chargers went on a long scoring run in the middle of the set and won, 25-11…The score was the same in the second set, as the Chargers raced out to an 11-1 lead and never looked back…Lancaster Bible again took an early lead in the third set, and used it the earn the victory, 25-13.

By the Numbers: Lancaster Bible had 31 kills and eight errors on 63 attempts for a .365 hitting percentage, while Wilson had 16 kills and 22 errors for a -.094 attack percentage…The Chargers led in digs, 22-21, and aces, 13-2…
Zeke Hallman and

News & Notes: The Chargers are now 9-0 all-time against Wilson…The Phoenix used to be in the NEAC for all of their athletic programs, but moved to the CSAC a year ago…They remain in the NEAC for men's volleyball because the CSAC does not have men's volleyball…The 13 service aces are a season-high for the Chargers.

Match Notes: Lancaster Bible raced out to a 17-3 lead in the opening set of the second match, and never looked back, holding the Bears to just six points in the first set…The Chargers took another early lead in the second set, and after the teams traded points in the middle of the frame, Lancaster Bible won six straight points late in the set to earn the victory…The teams exchanged points to open the third set, but Lancaster Bible won seven of eight points midway through the set and took a 15-8 lead…The Chargers then won nine of the final 10 points of the match to earn the sweep.

News & Notes: This was the first-ever meeting between the two schools…This is SUNY Potsdam's first season as an associate member of the NEAC for men's volleyball…Lancaster Bible is 11-1 in the first set of matches this season…This marks the second time this season the Chargers have hit .500 or better in a match, and prior to this season it had only been done three times in program history…Over the two matches, the Chargers had 71 kills and 16 errors on 127 attempts for a .433 hitting percentage…Lancaster Bible also had 22 aces over the two matches.
