How It Happened
The Lancaster Bible College Men's Soccer Team battled United East Conference foe Penn St. Abington to a 2-2 double overtime draw on Saturday, October 9 at Willis & Martha Herr Stadium.

The Chargers jumped out to a quick start firing three shots in the first 15 minutes. In the 19
th minute, the Chargers' goalkeeper
Isaac Barrow made a spectacular save when off a corner kick, he punched a shot over the cross bar to keep the game scoreless. The Chargers' offense would break through in the 27
th minute when
Kedric Yoder fired a shot from outside the 18-yard box that found its way into the back of the net. This was Yoder's fifth goal of the season. Just before the half, Penn St. Abington would respond when Michael Thomas scored a goal on a counterattack. The game was tied 1-1 at the half.

Penn St. Abington would strike first in the second half when Thomas found Matt Haub for a goal. Trailing by a goal, the Chargers pushed numbers forward looking to create scoring chances. Off a free kick,
Michael Eufemia served the ball into the box that
Jackson Shreiner tapped across the goal to his brother
Clark Shreiner, who buried the shot in the back of the net tying the game at two. Just before the end of regulation, a red card was issued to Penn State Abington's Matt Sheldon, ejecting him from the game and giving the Chargers a man-advantage for the rest of the game.
Owen Nell created two quality scoring chances but could find the back of the net, sending the game into overtime.

In the first overtime, LBC looked to use their man-advantage to create scoring chances. In the 95
th minute,
Kedric Yoder gathered a loose ball inside the box and fired a shot that was saved at the last second by the Lions. The game went into a second overtime where the Chargers continued to push the pace, firing three shots at the goal. LBC could not create a goal, leading to a 2-2 draw.
