How It Happened
The Lancaster Bible College Women's Soccer Team picked up a critical United East Conference victory over Penn State Abington on Saturday, October 9 at Willis & Martha Herr Stadium. The Charger's offense created early scoring chances in the 11th minute off a corner kick then Adeline Moore launched a shot that the Lion's goalkeeper tipped over the crossbar to keep from going in. A few minutes later, Kendal Ream dribbled past Penn State Abington's goalkeeper firing a shot that was saved on the end line by a Lion's defender. All-in-all the Chargers would fire seven shots in the first half. While the offense couldn't break through, Hannah Lieb made three saves to keep the game scoreless going into the half.

LBC continued to push forward creating scoring chances in the second half. In the 71st minute, Ream again beat the Lion's goalie but her shot ricocheted off the post. Two minutes later the Chargers would finally break through when Kara Huber found Ream with space in the box and she buried the shot in the lower left corner of the net to give the Charger a 1-0 advantage. Ream would enter the scoring column again in the 81st minute, blasting her second goal of the game into the back of the net giving the Chargers full control of the game. Meanwhile, Moore and her fellow defenders stymied the Lion's offensive attack securing the 2-0 conference victory.
