LBC Athletics To Hold Breast Cancer Awareness Week

Lancaster, Pa.- The Lancaster Bible College Athletic Department is joining forces the Grace Cancer Care Ministry to hold a Breast Cancer Awareness Week. All proceeds from home games during the week will go directly to the Grace Cancer Care Ministry.

The weeks activities will begin during the women's volleyball game on Tuesday, October 12. Before the match, a Breast Cancer survivor will share a few thoughts about the importance of the Ministry. There will be a bake sale going in the lobby of Horst Athletic Center (HAC) and there will be a serving contest between the second and third sets. Fans are encouraged to wear pink in support!

During the women's soccer game on Wednesday, October 13, fans are once again encouraged to wear pink and donation jars will be located inside the main gate. The weeks events will wrap up with the Field Hockey game on Saturday, October 16. Baked goods will be available inside the main gate along with a display with information on Breast Cancer Awareness.

The Mission of the Grace Cancer Care Ministry is to provide spiritual, emotional, household care, and informational support to a person or family experiencing a cancer struggle in the Millersville Community Church and Penn Manor community. To learn more information about the Ministry, Click Here.
