How It Happened
The Lancaster Bible College women's volleyball team dropped game one of their United East tri-match to Penn State Berks on Sunday, October 24.

The Chargers would get off to a slow start, dropping the opening set. LBC got off to a better start in the second set, racing out to a 5-3 lead. The teams would trade points, with the Lions battling back to grab a 13-10 lead.
Brittany Martin would jump start the Chargers offense slamming a kill.
Faith Helman would blast service ace and Martin added a kill to help the Chargers tie the game at 14.
Faith Hammond who had a career high 12 kills, crushed two kills helping LBC serge ahead. The Chargers closed the set by winning the final six points, capped off by a block by
Faith Helman and
Maelynne Patey.

Penn State Berks would respond using an early 7-1 run to take control of the third set.
Kate Stoltzfus and Patey each smashed kills trying to get the Chargers going, but the team dropped the set 25-15. The Lions again started fast in the fourth set, winning the set 25-14 and securing the conference victory.

How It Happened
The Lancaster Bible College women's volleyball team fell in a highly competitive match up with Gallaudet in game two of the tri-match.

Gallaudet rolled to big leads in the opening two sets, despite the best efforts of
Kate Stoltzfus and
Brittany Martin who each had 11 kills. The Chargers got off to a better start in the third set, jumping ahead 4-0 when Stoltzfus perfectly placed a service ace. The Bison slowly climbed back in the game eventually tying the game at 10. Trailing 12-11,
Morgan Fenstermacher and Martin each delivered a kill to help LBC regain the lead.
Sheyenne King sparked a 6-0 run capped off by one of
Faith Helman's five service aces. Helman would also pick up her 1000
th career assist during the match. The Charger would hold to take the set 25-22. The fourth set would see the teams trade points and the lead throughout the set, but Gallaudet would win the final four points to pick up the victory.
