How It Happened
The Lancaster Bible College men's soccer team could not capture the United East Championship losing a hard-fought battle to top-seeded Penn State Harrisburg by a score of 3-1 on Saturday, November 6.

The Chargers would shake off a slow start and get rolling in the 10th minute, earning a corner kick. Kedric Yoder would fire LBC's first shot in the 14th minute, but the Lions were able to make the save. Josh Jarvis also would fire a shot, but he could not get LBC on the board. Penn St. Harrisburg would break through, with Daniel Fombu scoring to take a 1-0 lead. Chad Tolson tried to respond firing a shot in the 28th minute, but the Lions were again able to make the save. Penn St. Harrisburg extended their advantage in the 39th minute with Daryl Lucas scoring on a pass from Zach Ullum. The Lions held a 2-0 advantage at the break.

LBC would climb back into the game in the 57th minute. The Chargers drew a foul just outside the 18-yard box and Yoder stepped up to the free kick, launching it into the six-yard box. Tolson flicked the ball through the box to open Nathan Muckle. Muckle would blast the ball into the back of the net, pulling the Chargers back within a goal. LBC had recaptured momentum and pushed numbers forward looking for an equalizer. The Lions would answer, scoring off a free kick in the 66th minute to retake a two-goal advantage. The Chargers put forth all of their remaining effort trying to find an answer but could not score again eventually falling 3-1.
