How It Happened
The Lancaster Bible College women's basketball team dropped a nonconference match up with Neumann University by a score of 58-45 on Tuesday, November 30.

The Chargers (2-4 Overall) took an early lead when
Jenna Dombach drained a 3-pointer to put LBC ahead 5-4. Neumann (3-5 Overall) answered right back with a 3-pointer to retake the lead. The teams traded the lead back-and-forth with
Adalyn Steiner cutting to the basket for a layup. Later in the quarter, with the game tied at 13, Steiner hit a 3-pointer to give the Chargers a 16-13 advantage. Neither team could score during the final two minutes of the quarter, with LBC holding a three-point lead heading into the second quarter.

Neumann opened the second quarter on a 7-0 run to retake the lead.
Alaysha Iwais stopped the run with a layup and on the next possession
Emma Drouillard slashed to the basket for a layup to tie the game at 20. Neumann scored a layup before half and held a 22-20 lead at the break.

Dombach knocked down a 3-pointer on the opening possession of the second half to give LBC a 23-22 lead. After six straight points by the Knights, Iwais connected on her first 3-pointer of the game. Moments later Dombach dished a pass to Iwais and she drained her second straight 3-pointer, giving LBC a one-point lead. The Chargers answered Knights on back-to-back possessions with Dombach connecting on another 3-pointer to tie the game at 34. The Knights closed the quarter on a 12-0 run to take a 46-34 advantage going into the fourth quarter.

LBC tried to battle back in the fourth quarter, with Dombach and
Lizzy Tilton each hitting layups. Midway through the quarter, Dombach hit another layup to close back within nine points. The Knights halted the Chargers rally, holding on for a 58-45 victory.

Coaching Points
"Our nonconference schedule is doing exactly what I hoped it would do, expose and test us," said head coach
Joy Tharrington. "Our understanding of the offense is improving, as evidence by our improved ball movement and decrease in turnovers, but we still a have a lot of growing to do."
