The Lancaster Bible College women's lacrosse team saw its two-game win streak come to an end on Saturday, as the Chargers lost to Morrisville State, 25-12 in Morrisville, N.Y. The Chargers are now 2-3 overall and 1-1 in North Eastern Athletic Conference play, while the Mustangs improved to 3-2 overall and 1-0 in conference play.

How it Happened: Lancaster Bible scored three of the game's first four goals, as
Katelynn Perrotta scored twice in 26 seconds, and
Kendal Ream followed less than two minutes later, to make it 3-1 in favor of the Chargers just 4:51 into the contest.

Morrisville State tied the game at 3-3 with two straight goals, but the Chargers scored the next three, as Ream netted two goals, and
Amanda Hay scored her first of the year to make it 6-3 with 20:55 to play in the first half. The Mustangs took their turn to make a run and knotted the game at 6-6, but
Kayla Steiner scored to restore Lancaster Bible's lead at 7-6 with 16:26 remaining in the frame.

The next four goals went to the Mustangs, and Ream finally stopped the run with her fourth of the day to cut the Chargers' deficit to 10-8 with 10:59 to play in the half. Morrisville State scored six the final eight goals of the half, as Perrotta and Ream scored for the Chargers who trailed 16-10 at halftime.

Any hopes of a comeback took a serious hit early in the second half, as the Mustangs scored the first three goals, and led 19-10 with 24:21 left to play. Perrotta scored to make it 19-11, but Morrisville State put the game away a few minutes later, and a 10-goal difference ran the clock, and the Chargers couldn't close any more ground.

By the Numbers: Morrisville State held a 40-29 advantage in shots, including a 33-21 edge in shots on goal…Lancaster Bible held a 26-24 edge in ground balls, and the Mustangs held a slim advantage of 20-19 in draw controls…Ream finished with six goals and 12 draw controls, while Perrotta had four goals and an assist to go with a team-best seven ground balls…
Kaitlyn Myers had a team-high three assists, while
Brooke Breon,
Kara Spiezio, and Perrotta each caused two turnovers…
Alexis Garrett made eight saves for the Chargers.
