The Lancaster Bible College women's tennis team celebrated Senior Day with a victory on Saturday, as the Chargers overcame a 2-1 deficit after doubles play to defeat Penn College, 5-4 at Hempfield Rec Center in Landisville, Pa.

The victory propels the Chargers to 4-2 overall this season and 2-0 in North Eastern Athletic Conference play, while the Wildcats dropped to 0-1 overall and 0-1 in NEAC action.

Doubles: Lancaster Bible's No. 1 team of
Deanna Graber and
Cara DiCiano earned an 8-1 victory to get the Chargers on the board.
Kenedi Berkhimer and
Chloe Campbell, playing at No. 2 doubles on Saturday, lost 8-2, and the No. 3 team of
Kaitlin Kirby and
Alycia Eglauer also dropped their match, falling 8-1.

Singles: Graber earned a 7-6 (7-1), 6-2 victory at No. 1 singles, while DiCiano won, 6-2, 6-0 at No. 2 singles. Berkhimer earned a 6-3, 6-3 victory at No. 3 singles, while Kirby battled, but lost, 6-1, 6-4 at No. 4 singles. Campbell rebounded from the doubles loss with a 6-2, 6-4 win at No. 5 singles, while Eglauer nearly won her first collegiate match at No. 6 singles, but came up just short, falling to Marcie Harman, 5-7, 6-3, 13-11.
