How it Happened: Lancaster Bible left runners on base in the first and second innings, before going down in order in the third. Wells scored their lone run of the game in the bottom half of the third, but tremendous starting pitching from Greenly gave the Lancaster Bible offense time to wake up, and they did just that beginning with the top of the fourth.
Saufley led off the inning with a walk and moved to second on a groundball out by Varricchione. Pinkney reached base on an error with one out, and Saufley came around to score to tie the game. Greenly got the Express in order in both the fourth and fifth innings, and the Chargers' bats broke out in the fifth.
Hunt doubled to lead off the inning, and advanced to third on a ground out by Saufley. Varricchione singled home Hunt, and then stole second base with Pinkney batting. Varricchione advanced to third on a sacrifice fly by Pinkney, and Greenly helped himself with two outs, as he tripled to score Varricchione. Stong capped the three-run inning with a single to score Greenly, and the Chargers took a 4-1 lead into the seventh inning.
Brian Coburn stole home in the seventh to make it 5-1, and Saufley singled home Hunt later in the inning to extend the lead to five. All the while, Greenly was fantastic on the hill, as he faced just one batter over the minimum over the final three innings en route to his first victory of 2021.
