How It Happened
The Lancaster Bible Women's Soccer team used a pair of first half goals to power past Immaculata by a score of 2-0 on Wednesday September 15.

After a flurry of shots from Immaculata in the first few minutes, the Chargers settled in and created a scoring opportunity in the 10th minute. Bryanna Hoover would get a touch on a loose ball near midfield, flicking the ball onto Kendal Ream. Ream then raced down the field with a defender on her shoulder. After entering the box, Ream through on the brakes, letting the defender fly past her and ripped a shot into the back of the net giving LBC a 1-0 lead.

Ream would get another scoring chance moments later, but the Mighty Macs goalkeeper knocked the ball wide at the last second. The shot earned the Chargers a corner kick that the Chargers served into the box. The ball fell at the feet of Abby Donaldson who launched a shot off the crossbar. Kara Huber gathered in the rebound and finished the scoring chance, putting Lancaster Bible ahead 2-0.

Lancaster Bible took the 2-0 advantage in the half. In the second half, the Chargers defense stiffened up, fighting off seven Immaculata shots. Goalkeeper Erin Mikula made four saves including two key saves in the second half to secure the shutout victory.
