How It Happened
The Lancaster Bible Men's Soccer team pulled off a thrilling comeback, scoring three goals in the final 10 minutes to defeat Waynesburg by a score of 3-2 on Monday, September 20.

The Chargers controlled possession in the first half, taking 13 shots including eight on goal. They were unable to find the back of the net, with the game remaining scoreless heading into the half. Despite having the majority of the possession, Waynesburg would score twice in the second half to take a 2-0 lead.

With time ticking away, the Chargers continued to push the pace looking for a goal to swing momentum in their favor. In the 84th minute Chad Tolson would gather in a loose ball off a corner kick and smashed a shot into the back of the net to get the Chargers on the board. The goal sparked the Chargers attack and Kyle Hughes passed the ball to Owen Nell who launched a goal from beyond the 18-yard box that fooled the goalkeeper and found the back of the net. Having tied the game at two, both teams scrambled looking for answer. In the 88th minute, Nell would win a ball down the left side and pass it off to Tolson. Tolson then lifted a shot from 20 yards out that got over Waynesburg's goalkeeper to give LBC the lead. The Chargers held onto the lead and picked up the 3-2 win.
