How It Happened
The Lancaster Bible College Women's Soccer fell by a score of 1-0 in their nonconference matchup with Neumann University on Saturday September 25.
The Chargers and Knights battled to control possession through the first 20 minutes of game play with neither team creating a ton of scoring chances.
Megan Rogers fired LBC's best shot, but the Knights goalkeeper made the save. Later in the half,
Taylor Shultz turned loose a shot on goal, but the Knights defense was able to make the safe. The game remained scoreless at the half.
LBC tried to get the offense going in the second half with
Bryanna Hoover and
Kendal Ream firing shots on goal, but the Chargers could not break through. Neumann would eventually capitalize on a set piece, with Kaitlin Thomas scoring in the 86
th minute. The Charger could not find an answer, falling 1-0.
