How It Happened
The Lancaster Bible Women's Volleyball fueled by raucous crowd, took down Moravian by a score of 3-1 in the teams home opener on Tuesday September 7.

The Chargers started fast opening a 5-2 advantage behind kills from Cassidy King and Sheyenne King. After a service error Cassidy King fired one of her six service aces to put the Chargers ahead 8-3. Later in the set Moravian had closed back within two points when Cassidy King and Chloe King smashed back-to-back kills to make the score 17-13. Leading 22-19, Morgan Fenstermacher crushed a kill to swing momentum back in the Chargers favor. Cassidy King closed the set with one final kill, giving LBC a 1-0 lead in the match

In the second set, the Red & Black would again take an early lead, capitalize on a pair of Greyhounds attack errors to build a 5-1 advantage. Moravian would close back with two before Kate Smoker smashed a kill. A block by Fenstermacher and Cassidy King sparked a 4-0 run, helping the Chargers take a 12-6 lead. The Greyhounds continued to battle back, using a 6-0 to close back within two. Lancaster Bible held a 24-20 lead late in the set, when Moravian made one last push. Pulling within one at 24-23, the crowd in the Horst Athletic Center came alive, helping to force a service error securing the set victory.

After dropping the third set, LBC looked to close the door in the fourth set. As they had in the first two sets, the Chargers went on a 5-0 run capped off by a pair of service aces from Cassidy King. Moravian kept fighting back, using a 5-0 to tie the game at nine. The lead would go back-and-forth from that point, with LBC clinging to a 19-18 lead late in the set. Sheyenne King swung momentum back to the Chargers, smashing a kill and firing a service ace to put LBC ahead 21-18. A kill by Fenstermacher brought the entire crowd to their feet and the Chargers would capitalize on service error to win the set.
