The Lancaster Bible College women's soccer team won its second straight game on Thursday night, defeating Notre Dame (Md.), 5-0 at The Donald H. Funk Field at Willis & Martha Herr Stadium. The Chargers are now 2-1 overall this season, while the Gators dropped to 1-2.Â

How It Happened
Lancaster Bible dominated from the opening whistle, peppering 15 shots in the opening 45 minutes. Senior Kendal Ream got the Chargers on the board 4:05 into the contest, as she took a pass from Bryanna Hoover and deposited her first goal of the season into the left-hand side of the net.
The Chargers continued to keep the majority of the possession throughout the opening half, and were rewarded at 21:18, as Hoover collected the ball 25 yards from the goal and drilled a shot into the top of the goal. Lancaster Bible nearly collected two more goals, but Jade Weir rang two shots off the crossbar, and the Chargers took a 2-0 lead into the break.
Lancaster Bible's dominance continued in the second half, as Rachel Dickinson netted her first goal of the year off a feed from Megan Rogers. Kara Huber made it 4-0 just over 15 minutes later, as she scored off a free kick from 22 yards out for her second goal of the year.Â
Jade Weir capped the scoring for the Chargers at the 74:58 mark, as she drilled a shot from 25 yards out and scored her second goal of the season.Â

-Lancaster Bible is now 2-0-1 all-time against Notre Dame (Md.)...This was the first meeting between the two teams since Sept. 23, 2010 when the Chargers defeated the Gators, 5-2.
