Lancaster Bible 0, Drew 5
Â
The Lancaster Bible field hockey team traveled to Drew University in Madison, New Jersey on Tuesday night to battle against the Rangers in their last non-conference contest of the 2022 season. The Chargers would battle tough, but eventually fall 5-0 to the Rangers moving their overall record to 3-12 and the Rangers to 7-8. Â
Â
How It Happened: The Rangers didn't waste any time opening with two goals just under four minutes into the start of the game. Following the rush of attack, the Chargers would tighten their defense not allowing another goal for the half. The Charger defense would do a great job controlling the offensive attack from the Rangers in the second period limiting the offense to only a few shots.
Â
Coming out of halftime with a 2-0 lead, the Rangers would look to add three more goals in the third period extending their lead to 5-0 as the third period would end. The fourth period would feature a few more shots from the Rangers, and a few offensive attacks from the Chargers but both teams would be held scoreless until the end of the game. The Rangers would complete their non-conference win with a 5-0 win over the Chargers.
Â
From the Coach: "The score does not reflect our effort tonight. We battled hard, despite some factors that were out of our control. Looking forward to spending our last days of the season together." –
