How It Happened
The Lancaster Bible College men's volleyball team defeated Penn St. Altoona on the road in straight sets on Friday, February 25.

Kole Horst landed the first kill of the match for the Chargers (12-7 Overall), sparking a 3-0 run. LBC followed up with six straight points highlighted by kills from Dawson Forney and a service ace by Hunter Davis. Later in the set, Horst landed back-to-back kills to put LBC up 17-9. A kill from Elijah Herb helped the Chargers win the last three points to win the first set 25-18.

The Lions (5-6 Overall) started off strong in the second set, using a 5-0 run to take an early three-point lead. LBC battled back, with Herb slamming down a kill to tie the set a seven. The teams traded points for several volleys until Penn St. Altoona went on a three-point run to pull ahead by three. DJ Omogrosso knocked down a kill to pull LBC back within one. Later, Davis and Herb combined for a block to put the Chargers up by a point. Davis landed a service ace to cap off a final 3-0 run to help close out set two 25-22.

After Penn St. Altoona started off strong, Omogrosso smashed a block to help tie the set at seven. Back-to-back kills propelled the Chargers to a three-point lead and Davis landed another service ace to build the lead to four. It was all Lancaster Bible to close the set, finishing on a 9-3 run highlighted by Herb, Forney and Horst. Tanner Shertzer ended the set by placing a service ace, taking the 25-16 set victory and clinching the 3-0 match victory.

Inside the Numbers
- The Chargers were led by Elijah Herb and Kole Horst, who each smashed 12 kills
- Dawson Forney added 10 kills
- Tanner Shertzer facilitated the offense, dishing 32 assists
- Hunter Davis led the service game, firing three services aces in the match
- The Lions were led by Jared Bodisch who had seven kills
