How It Happened
The Lancaster Bible College men's basketball team came up short in the United East Championship Game, losing to #2 Penn St. Harrisburg by a score of 85-52 on Saturday, February 26.

The Chargers (20-7 Overall, 15-1 United East) got their offense started when
Tyler Hilton hit a corner 3-pointer on the team's second possession.
Jordan Shewbridge then grabbed an offensive rebound and put the ball back to give LBC a 5-4 advantage. Penn St. Harrisburg (23-3 Overall, 14-2 United East) responded going on a 7-2 run to take a four-point lead.
Seth Beers cut into the deficit, swishing his first 3-pointer of the game. The Lions kept pushing the pace, going on an 11-1 run and take a 22-11 advantage with 8:14 remaining in the first half.
Maureon Tisdale-Couch halted the run, powering to the basket for a layup. Behind eventual tournament MVP Nate Curry, Penn St. Harrisburg continued to grow their lead, taking a 21-point advantage with just under four minutes remaining in the half. LBC made a push to get back into the game, with
Tyshaun Pulley knocking down back-to-back jump shots. Shewbridge cut the deficit down to 14, hitting a 3-pointer from the top of the key. Beers closed the half by hitting two 3-pointers in the final 31 seconds, but the Chargers trailed 39-28 at the half.

Adam Stoltzfus started the second half strong, finishing a pair of layups to keep LBC within 13 points. The Lions went on a 11-2 run, seizing the momentum.
Grant Sareyka tried to jump the offense, completing a three-point play with 6:36 remaining the game. The Chargers could not battle back into the game, falling 85-52.
