Lancaster Bible College is celebrating 50 years of basketball during the 2021-22 season, and on Saturday, February 5, 2022 the college will honor players from all 50 years during a luncheon and prior to the men's and women's basketball contests against Penn St. Abington.

In addition to honoring those who have played basketball over the past 50 years, a 50th Anniversary Basketball Team was also chosen by a panel of Lancaster Bible College staff. The Lancaster Bible College 50th Anniversary Men's Basketball Team is a collection of players who have had an impact not only on the court, but off the court as well. They have won championships and individual awards, but also used their platform to advance the gospel and show Christ to those around them.

The 10 men chosen for the team have scored a combined 15,258 points, roughly 18 percent of all the points ever scored by the Lancaster Bible College men's basketball team. In addition to those numbers, they have been named NCCAA All-Americans, to all-conference teams, players of the year, conference champions, and national champions. They were not only great basketball players, but are men of God who are serving Him in the church and society. The college is proud of not only their efforts on the floor, but their efforts for the kingdom of God.

The Lancaster Bible College 50th Anniversary Basketball Teams will be honored prior to the men's basketball game on Saturday at 1 p.m. If you can't make it to Horst Athletic Center, the event will be broadcast live on the Chargers Sports Network.
